| MIXING IT UP!
To keep the dining room feeling casual - mix it up. Don't purchase a dining room set! Although a matching dining set can be beautiful, it can also be boring; instead give your space a collected-over-time look with mismatched furniture. Tip: Select your table first because it's much easier to find chairs that work with the table's height than the other way around. Also pay attention to the function as well as the form when shopping for chairs - choose one that are sturdy and comfortable so guests will want to linger. Flank the ends with the same - and the sides with a contrast. This look showing Chinese and slip covered are a perfect example.

Dining Room tables can be very large. Please make sure they fit your elevator. We do not give refunds for items that cannot be delivered.
Area between table legs - make sure that the chairs fit between the legs of the table. Leave about 3" between the leg and the other chair. If you are using 2 chairs that are 20" wide - you need at least 49" between the legs. For good design - use at least 6" if you have the space or 58" between the legs
Height of dining room chair seat: The average size table is 30" high and the average seat is 19" If you change either of them - you need to change the other accordingly.
Area around the chair - when a chair is pulled out for a person to sit down - you need 36", meaning don't get surrounding furniture too close.
REMEMBER: the average person only needs 18" to walk through an area. But a pulled out chair needs 36"
